On the occasion of the seventeenth “5.20 World Metrology Day”, the Hubei Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision held a press conference on “Measure Fairness and Benefiting People's Livelihoods” for measurement work, and released relevant issues related to people's livelihood measurement.
Electricity meters, water meters, and gas meters have always been the focus of supervision and inspection. Hubei Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision carried out inspections on 624 districts of the province, including 467,441 electric meters, 290,305 water meters, and 272,025 gas meters. There are 4034 gas stations in the province and 26226 refueling machines. At least two compulsory inspections are performed each year, and the qualification rate for periodic inspections remains at 95% or more. In June 2015, the quality supervision system carried out supervision and inspection of 1,541 gas stations and 6,906 refueling machines in the province, of which 6,769 were qualified and the passing rate was 98.0%.
