Yellow phosphorus tail gas purification and CO purification technology to eliminate pollution

The Southwest Research Institute of Chemical Industry developed the technology of "purification and purification of carbon monoxide from yellow phosphorus tail gas" in 2003. The technical installation of the yellow phosphorus tail gas purification and purification of carbon monoxide at the Yellow Phosphorus Plant of Sichuan Linchen Group's 50 m3/h plant was adopted. In October 2004, he drove successfully. After testing, the content of phosphide, sulfide, arsenide, fluoride, etc. in the yellow phosphor tail gas after purification is less than 1×10-6 kg/m3, and the recovery rate of carbon monoxide is more than 85%.

Phosphorus is an important chemical raw material. The tail gas produced in the production process contains 85% to 90% of carbon monoxide as a basic carbonyl synthesis material, and also contains elements or compounds such as sulfur, phosphorus, arsenic, and fluorine. At present, most of the yellow phosphorus producers in China deal with yellow phosphorus tailings directly through the torch burning and venting, so that the surrounding atmospheric environment and water resources are contaminated, while carbon monoxide resources are wasted. According to the calculation of annual output of 450,000 tons of yellow phosphorus in China, a total of 1.1 billion standard cubic meters of yellow phosphorus tail gas will be produced each year. With 1.5 g of phosphorus and phosphides per standard cubic meter and 20 g of sulfides, 1687.5 tons of phosphide and 22,000 tons of sulfide are discharged into the atmosphere each year, causing serious environmental pollution and at the same time causing 990 million standard cubic meters. The above carbon monoxide resources are wasted.

Industry experts pointed out that the yellow phosphorus tail gas purification and carbon monoxide purification technology developed by the Southwest Institute will bring new technical support to China's environmental protection industry and meet the technical requirements for the development of circular economy.
