Yichang City will build a special waste disposal center
The State Environmental Protection Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission recently decided to establish a special waste disposal center in the urban area of Yichang City, Hubei Province. The center will collect and treat wastes other than domestic waste, such as medical waste, waste acid, spent caustic soda, and waste oil, and treat these wastes as harmless and resource-rich. The Yichang Special Waste Disposal Center is located in Wujia Township, Wujiagang District. According to Wang Hongqiang, deputy mayor of Yichang City, the construction of the project will begin before the end of March and is expected to be completed before the end of the year and put into trial operation.
