1, LED color difference problem
The application of a single LED basically has no color difference problem, but if many LEDs are used together or one lamp has multiple LEDs at the same time, the problem of color aberration is highlighted. Let's start with a group of lamps. If one sees inconsistent colors of light, even though LUXEON divides LEDs into eight military regions by color temperature, and then divides them into several districts in each military zone, a large range of color differences is performed to a certain extent. Control, but there are still differences in the same LED in the same color area, and this difference still can't escape the provocation of the naked eye.
2, LED insulation problems
(Insulation refers to the fact that the heat-dissipating substrate is used for the positive and negative electrodes of the LED.) We dare not say that we were the first to discover the problem of the insulation of the LED, but at least the big-name manufacturers are appalled by our doubts. Until now, it has not yet solved the fundamental problem, but only to take remedial measures, such as using aluminum substrates to handle the insulation (the original aluminum substrate was not insulated, and almost all of them are now done), and everyone may find it incomprehensible. A single LED is not insulated and the effect is not significant. There are problems when multiple cells are connected in series.
3, LED anti-pulse problem
This issue is still controversial with the manufacturer, and it does exist in my actual application. The main reaction is the cold pulse, that is, at the moment of power-on, a few LEDs break down or break at the moment of power-on in the cold state. I don't think it's caused by static electricity or high voltage (startup voltage is in range).
4, LED light angle problem
Because the LED lens packages of different manufacturers are not the same even if the same light emitting angle (nominal angle), the effect is not the same, making the selection of the condenser cover difficult, still can not be universal.
5, LED potential blinding potential
LED emission points are too concentrated to make the center point bright, which is very easy to hurt people's eyes. Although some manufacturers of lighting (lighting decoration renderings) make efforts in this regard, but due to the lag of regulations, it can only be human Moral issue.
6, LED fever problem
In theory, LED is not very hot, but due to the current technology is not mature, LED heat is known, I do not want to say more.
7, LED efficiency is low (luminous rate)
At present, the electrical conversion efficiency of the LED is too low (because there is no instrument test, it does not dare to give specific data).
8, LED brightness is insufficient
Insufficient brightness, making the current LED can only act as a supporting role in the lighting industry, mainly for decoration
9, LED light failure and life
Currently, the problem of LED degradation and longevity caused by the Mainland or Taiwanese companies is rather serious. First of all, there is no need to say that big-name manufacturers such as LUXEON are rated at 100,000 hours. I am afraid that only their own mentality is clear, and the heat dissipation solution is good or bad. Matching may affect the LED's light decay and life, so 100,000 hours is just a selling point!
10, LED drive power problems
At present, most of the drive lines are borrowed from the switching power supply. Of course, there are also a few decimal lines that are specifically used for the drive of the LED, but the effect is basically the same. Since the LED needs to be driven by DC, the constant current control is adopted, which makes the driving circuit quite large. Can not be compared with the electronic transformer, and the efficiency is relatively low, reaching 80% to be considered good (single not reach). In addition, for the pursuit of applicability, manufacturers claim that a driver can bring ten or more chips randomly (one, two,...). This is actually a misunderstanding, although it is a constant current, an excessively high starting voltage. LED will often die in an instant.
11, LED shape limited
Due to the characteristics of single-sided light emission of the LED, the shape of the LED lamp is limited.
12, LED unit price is too high
