BBC Launches Mobile VR Platform to Regularly Update VR Documentary Experience
Previously the BBC had cooperated with Oculus, and VR popularized 3 kinds of animals. The BBC Taster creative team now publishes a "BBC Taster VR" app, which is mainly to publish some experimental mobile VR experiences. Its content comes from the BBC Three (BBC Third Channel) and Planet Earth II (Planet Earth II). , and the application's technical support is provided by a New York-based VR video platform startup, EEVO.
"BBC Taster VR" will include VR animations, interactive 360° video, dynamic stereo audio and storytelling of different branches.
There are currently two titles that have landed on the "BBC Taster VR" application. One is the long-standing documentary "One Deadly Weekend in America" broadcast on the third channel of the BBC. It mainly tells the story of shooting crimes. The Other is the new interactive 360 degree video of the Planet Earth II series. The narrator David Attenborough will lead you to the most exciting six places in the Planet Earth series.
"BBC Taste VR" supports Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded for free. The BBC stated that it will regularly update the new VR experience.
