For example, if the LCP protocol is in the OPENED state and IPCP is still in the Initial state, or if the LCP becomes the OPENED state and restarts the negotiation soon, it may be considered as a verification problem because this state is temporary. The status is not easy to observe. It can also be observed through debugppppacket or debugpppnegotiation. The reason for the failure can be verified based on the specific content of the packet. Sometimes authentication is configured, but the negotiation item is rejected during the LCP negotiation. When the LCP enters the OPENED state, it will immediately renegotiate.

5. Use the display interface command to view the interface information. If the LCP protocol is in the OPENED state and the IPCP is in REQ_SEND or ACK_RCVD, and observe that there are a large number of IPCP packets in the PPP packets, this indicates that the router IPCP negotiation is faulty. If the IPCP is in the STOPPED state, the state transition may be caused by the TERMREQ or CODEREJ of the received IPCP. Since the IPCP parameters must be negotiated as IP addresses, other parameters are optional. Generally, the IP address configuration is faulty and IPCP negotiation cannot be performed. .

Sometimes, after the aaa-enable is configured on the router, the LCP and the IPCP both enter the OPENED state. However, the LCP negotiation restarts soon. After the aaa-enable is configured, accounting is performed by default. If no accounting server is configured, the accounting server is not configured. AAA will hang up the PPP link.
