1. Root contains hydrolyzable tannins and condensed tannins, and contains flavonoids. Whole plant contains fumaric acid, gallic acid protocatechuic acid, quercetin, naringenin, kaempferol, isophthalic acid ( M-phthalic acid).
2. Fresh plants contain 62.39% moisture and 49.4 mg% ascorbic acid. The moisture content of the dried product was 12.12%, protein was 9.18%, fat was 4.03%, crude fiber was 21.89%, ash content was 7.25%, P2O5-0.26%, and Ca0-2.63%.
